Bill of Rights for young players
- The right to participate irrespective of my colour, my creed or my ability.
- The right to participate at a level commensurate with my development level.
- The right to have qualified adult leadership.
- The right to participate in safe and healthy environments.
- The right to share in the leadership and decision-making of my team.
- The right to play as a child and not as an adult.
- The right to proper preparation for participation in my chosen sport.
- The right to an equal opportunity to strive for success.
- The right to be treated with dignity.
- The right to have fun and to enjoy my game.
Young players code
- Learn and observe the Laws of the Game.
- Beat opponents by skill and not by unfair methods.
- Never argue with the Referee or Linesmen.
- Retire quickly need requested to.
- Do not appeal for throw-ins, off-sides, free-kicks, etc.
- Give the ball promptly to opponents for throw-ins, free-kicks, etc.
- If an opponent gives you the ball for a throw-in, free-kick, etc, do not take advantage of the player being out of position.
- Keep your self-control at all times and do not retaliate.
- Do not overact when your team scores a goal.
- Accept victory modestly and defeat graciously remembering that your team will be judged by your behaviour.
